Wild West Gun Shop

People have been improvising weapons for a long time. Even before guns, savages were tying rocks to sticks to bonk other savages with. Later on, they would invent tying a stick to itself in order to make a bow, and well, you get the picture. Thousands of years later it’s World War 2, and the allied troops are desperate, and they start tying their guns to stuff, and thus the drip rifle was born.

Typically, when an army attempts to flee a battleground, the opposing army will give chase. The objective is to do enough damage to the fleeing army to prevent them from ever coming back. This strategy is officially called the ‘shoot them in the ass while they run away”. However, the allied troops were not interested in being shot in the ass that day, so they invented the drip rifle.

The drip rifle was a rifle that was tied to a series of tins. While one tin dripped into the other, the tin would bob up and down, and subsequently repeatedly fire the rifle.

The only downside is that cooking pots have notoriously terrible accuracy.

Basically, they wanted it to appear that they were not retreating, but were bravely holding their ground and shooting directly into the same spot over and over again.
