***This trigger will only work in a Smith & Wesson M&P pistol which has an Apex Forward Set Sear Kit installed. The Apex sear may be identified by the 3 dots in the surface on the right side of the sear.***.

What It Does
Designed to work in any Smith & Wesson M&P model pistol in a centerfire caliber, that has the Apex Forward Set Sear Kit already installed, the Apex Aluminum Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger reduces trigger pre-travel and over travel. Increases reach length to trigger face for shooters with longer fingers. Allows shooter to position finger lower on trigger face for increased leverage and therefore take advantage of lower trigger pull weights for USPSA Open and Limited Division competition.

Expected Results
When installed with the other components of a Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit
– Delivers same fire control system performance as with Forward Set Sear Kit
– Trigger more closely replicates the feel of a flat face 1911 trigger
– Center mounted pivoting safety maintains factory safety values
– Depending on springs installed, produces trigger pull weight between 3lbs and 4lbs (Note: Not recommended for Duty/Carry applications)

Applicable To What Gun(s)
Works with all Smith & Wesson M&P Pistols in all centerfire calibers and configurations.
Does NOT function in the M&P Shield, BodyGuard, 22 or 22 Compact pistols.
Requires the use of the sear housing block designed for the large size sear plunger and spring (current production as of June, 2011)

Notes
This particular product usually requires a slight modification to the trigger bar loop for proper function. Please see the Trigger Bar Loop Adjustment video on how to tune the trigger bar.
*This kit REQUIRES the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring and plunger set up.
